EVENING SKY

Walked up the road as the day was closing 

Just to feel the wind on the face 

The words it spoke

Bringing memories 

The sky was so near and large and wide

And beautiful and pacifying ...

Walked alone as I have done since time immemorial

Back turned to the world 

The solace within 

The unknown
