This late afternoon from my window
The cold wind, the blue golden sky
The motionless higher clouds
The traveling ones just below
A dream fading into memory

TODAY

All day the wind howled from the mountains 

Way up the narrow streets, across the small town 

Releasing deep voices from the earth 

The birds wild, the trees wild, the sky wild

The cold rain scattered on the surface of the land 

The music inside trying to preserve the precious memories 

Desperately trying to grab hold of the moment 

Keep it safe for eternity

AUTUMN . THE SOUND OF WATER

Summer was long, depressing and hard

Autumn arrived. So late, yearning

Still the river thirsty but hope on the way

And the beautiful colours and running water

With minute details of fallen leaves

The scents of warm fruits and the light ... golden, peaceful, soothing

Just like the sound of rain

The moon a few nights ago ... silent, brilliant, beautiful

Yesterday I had lunch with a couple of friends overlooking this place.
